Why should you format cells in Excel?

One of the reasons people don’t like spreadsheets, is because - let’s admit it - they look bad. (The spreadhseets, not the people). Most spreadsheets look like an accountant’s report, or like a printout from your bank.

Therefore, I really recommend you to spend another 30 seconds of your time and style your data, making it much more readable and easier to understand.

Most important is to make the headings and titles stand out and distinguished from your data. You can increase their size, make them bold and give them some color.
